It looks like a very well camouflaged snake (or frog?) eating an insect.
Okay - we all tried to guess, but all Grandma came up with is that it's something icky ;-)
Somehow I don't think this will take the place of the butterfly as my screen saver... but it is a very interesting puzzle.

Wait- is it one frog eating another one? I literally blew up the photo to try and see wtf is going on.
