Customs and Immigration, Belize Style

This is the actual customs and immigration office in Belize when you leave for Guatemala. The guy in the photo is also the immigration official. He did put down his Sunday comics long enough to stamp our passports and wave us through.

Matt and Mary,

I totally forgot about your blog until Jeff reminded me last night. Congratulations on the pseudo-engagement-- if you can tolerate someone after spending 9 months together traveling, you qualify for marriage. I am envious and inspired by your adventures and will be a regular blog reader from here on out!

Enjoy Belize! Love, Alissa

Just got through catching up on, and adding to, all the comments posted after Aunt Alice "fixed" my computer. Who is this kathryn babe? She has quite a pithy style. She, like me, sounds like she is full of pith.

Um, did your dad just call me a babe? Huh.

I need to go off and think about that for a while.
